Stars, one of my all-time favourite bands and Canadian exporters of woozy electro-rock romance, have just announced the title and release date of their new album, In Our Bedroom After The War, thus enlivening my Sunday evening and making September 27th a date for the diary. As if that wasn't enough, you can download a track from the new album, 'The Night Starts Here', all free and legal, like, here.
It's bloody good as well - from the moment Amy Millan's delightful 40-carat voice kicks off the track, it's obvious the new album contains the same strand of dark poetic magic as 'Heart' and 'Set Yourself On Fire' - and then the fuzz kicks in like a tsunami, and it looks like the band have spent their two-year tour building up their confidence.
I can't wait, to be honest.
